Have you noticed that your sleeping patterns have changed?
This may mean you are either sleeping way more than normal or a lot less than normal. If so, and it’s been going on for an extended period of time, this could be a sign of burn out.
Nevertheless, there are things you can do to take action now. One of which is ditching screens at least one hour before bed! Get in the habit of putting your device to bed before you put yourself to bed… and by the way, I need to take this advice myself.
For many of us, if we aren’t writing that last minute work email to bed, we are using our device to scroll through Instagram or Linked In as a way to switch off.
Unfortunatetly, instead of winding your body down, your screen is actually tricking your body to think it’s morning because of the blue light it emits.
So just for tonight, can you eliminate screen at least one hour before bed. And if you get through tonight, then go for 2 nights and keep adding another day. Before you know it you’ll create your habit of no screens before bed and having a more restful sleep because of it.
