Sleep is often overlooked and yet it is the cornerstone of ALL wellbeing.
Yet, how many of us compromise on sleep with an extra hour out or watching another Netflix episode?
We all end up paying the price. Just think – one lost hour a night is a whole lost night over a week.
This Friday, March 18th, is World Sleep Day and with it the chance to celebrate sleep as a key component to a more productive, contented, happier life.
Our Conscious Expert is Dr Lindsay Browning, a chartered psychologist, neuroscientist, author and sleep expert.
She founded Trouble Sleeping in 2006 to help people improve their sleep and wellbeing though sleep therapy and advice based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) – the gold standard for insomnia.
Working with corporates, schools and the NHS, Dr Browning also helps executives and employees manage poor sleep, stress and jet lag. She is the resident sleep ambassador for And So To Bed.
In our interview, Lindsay covers a panacea of issues that cause sleep problems, provides expert guidance and advice on what to look out for, how to lock in more sleep hygiene, improve basic habits but also recognise when to ask for more professional help if insomnia becomes more problematic.
